ACS Pacesetters Security Officers of Distinction 2018 – Dave J and Arron M – Land Sheriffs @LandSheriffs
Thursday 4th April saw an important day for Land Sheriffs Ltd as they we were visited by Jackie Doyle-Price MP, Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention and Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP for Harlow to mark the achievement of 200 Interventions since 2013.
We also signed out ‘Time for Change’ mental health pledge for our staff, which was co-signed by Jackie, to promote mental health awareness and offer training and support throughout the company.
Jackie Doyle-Price spoke to all those that attended the event and said
“It seems to me that this is a really nice place to work. Congratulations on all that you have done, please continue that good work. I am going to preach to the world about what you have done here because it is so impressive, thank you very much indeed”

The RailStaff Awards started in 2007 with an aim to show recognition of the great work of the people who work in the rail industry. It is a way of seeing great achievements, courage and bravery from rail staff.
Land Sheriffs have been finalists at the rail staff awards for 4 years in a row in the highly sought category of ‘Life Saver Award’ and this year we can proudly say we have won the award, after being highly commended for the bravery and professionalism shown by our staff in saving lives for three consecutive years.
To date we have saved 317 People from committing suicide

The UK Rail Industry Awards continues to bring together the leaders and decision-makers running the rail industry for the sector’s biggest and most prestigious celebration. The event recognises the hard work and achievement from the dedicated organisations, teams and individuals working tirelessly to deliver an efficient and robust rail network, which continues to be one of the safest in Europe.
Land Sheriffs were nominated in the category of ‘making travel safer’ category and were highly commended for their work we do in making everyone’s experience on the railway a safe and pleasant one.

Land Sheriffs work closely with the BTP, and were honoured to receive a highly commended commendation form the then area commander for our ‘dedication to duty’.
This was a very proud moment for us.
The ACS Pacesetters Security of Distinction is an award which is presented to Security Officers who have carried out exceptional and life-saving actions. These Officers will have been nominated by the client where they are contracted to carry out their duties.
In 2016 and 2017 we had officer nominated and proudly 2 years in a row officers who won an officer of distinction award highlighting there above and beyond contribution to the security sector.
